I have, for a while, wondered how artists tell a story through their art. To be more succinct...
When I look for paintings that I enjoy, the ones that stick out to me are the ones that tell a story. It isn't enough for a character to just stand there (anatomically correct and colored thoughtfully) to interest me.
Don't get me wrong; anatomy interests me. Color interests me.
Story, however, is the be all and end all.
And, so, when I see an art piece that I like, I ask myself how the artists pulled
